    I opened the coop door and they are NOT coming out.....smart chickens.....it 9 degrees here today I think I'll stand in the coffee today, try to keep warm Flock!

    Unfortunately my girl didn't recover and passed last night. She was a good chicken and I and the rest of the flock ( 6 other chickens) will miss her. Thx for all your advice BYCers

    Well I sat at the kitchen table and put small pieces of hard boiled egg in her mouth and washed it down using a syringe with 50/50 electrolyte and water drink.     today she is just sitting in nesting box and not eating I will be feeding her the electrolytes with a syringe and cooked egg by hand this evening

    Hi Thx, She's 3 years old and was laying up until recently. I checked and she is not egg bound and the abdomen is not hard. I'll get on the sugar/electrolyte water today and all the other stuff and see how she responds

    Hi BYC, my chicken has become lethargic and appears to have trouble walking. And now her comb has a black tip. She’s also loosing weight as her breast bone is very prominent. I’ve checked her vent and it’s all good. I did warm Epsom salt bath and made sure her bottom was clean. Any ideas ? See...

    Don't mean to start on this but Hershey's is OK, the best one is Fox's U-Bet chocolate syrup. Made famous with the Brooklyn Egg cream...and it's amazing in coffee, (or just off a spoon):celebrate
