Mine are doing the same thing. I think my 5 are a week or two older than yours. I do look up pictures of barred rock hens and they all appear to redden and grow. Following. I have the same barred rocks and I bought them at Sutherland's. Nobody knew how old they were, so I'm guessing too. I would really like to know, so I can plan on feeding them the next step up in chicken food!- dschule
