    Dog bite on chickens leg! Help!

    I do not know what an anti jab is. I considered taking her to the vet but there is no skin left on the leg to stitch up. It looks like the skin was ripped clean off up to her breast. The whole leg is exposed with no skin on it at all. She is eating and drinking and I noticed healthy droppings...

    Dog bite on chickens leg! Help!

    My 7 month old lab attacked one of my chickens today and it is pretty bad. It looks like she basically skinned her poor leg exposing the whole muscle of the leg. I cleaned her leg with water, put antibiotic cream on it and I put her in her own crate with food and water. She is walking on it ok...

    When I get home from work around 3pm, I'll grab a cigar and and a drink, head outside, let the chickens out to eat grass and bugs. I'm entertained till sunset.

    Cornish Rock... when can they be moved to the coop?

    I moved mine out at 3 weeks. I have them in a 12'x 6' dog kennel w/straw on the floor and a heat lamp. They are doing fine.

    Wow! I hate to hear that happened to you. I was at Ace shopping for a bulb and picked up the "rough service" bulb twice putting it back each time...being a tight wad (over $5each) kept me from buying it.
