Yeah haha! That why i placed the leanns order that time as well. Just for fun, and something to do!
this little batch i have right now is for layers. So they were all ordered as pullets
How are all the chicks from meyers doing?
all 5 of mine are doing great still! They are extremely friendly. The lavender orpington is huge! Not convinced its a pullet. But heres hoping🤞🏼 and social!
They have zero interest. But she is already looking much better. Dipped her beak in water 4-5 Times and then just let them warm up. They were really cold when they arrived
Aww and they all look healthy!
mine are all alive, the two ameraucanas are the weakest. But one is especially weak! :(
Looks like i got a blue and a black ameraucana! Super happy with that!
my lavender orpington is wild and active haha!
I have chicks coming this morning from meyer as well! Also came thru spokane. We are in north idaho.
says ours made it to spokane last night and will be delivered this morning!
hoping they all make it safe! I only ordered 5 total...
I would choose Ducks over chickens anyday!
here is why:
More summer hardy
Way way more winter hardy
Less of an agressive pecking order! way more fun. More entertaining and active ( anyway indian runner ducks are haha)
Stink way less than chickens.
no roosting needed for night time.
It is very hard to part with them . I have had to prt with many boys, and i always get so attached.
But even if both babies are girls - 3 girls with 2 boys still wont work :(
Im just selling them. I love incubating. And had a lot of people in my area wanting some, so asked around and decided to incubate a few batches this summer.
most
All of these are already spoken for.
