    Amazing !! I never thought of prep h. I had to dispatch one of my girls because her entire vagina fell out. She was in a lot of pain. I'll keep the prep h in mind if I see that again. So glad he recovered.

    I have a 4 year old peking who I'm pretty sure is blind in one eye. She will look to the right but waddle slowly to the left. Until she gets herself stuck in a corner. She seems happy but is just an old blind gal.

    Yes your duckling needs a friend or a toy and mirror, especially if you are gone a lot of hours.

    Newly hatched duckling

    Thank you. Her nest mate is behind her by 3 days and the other by a week so I've given her a mirror to look at while she waits. I'll never stagger hatch again.

    Newly hatched duckling

    My first duckling hatched early this morning. Just want to know if behavior is normal. Wobbly, waddles, around, peeping, pecking at the cover of the incubator and then seems to "pass out " for very short naps. Looks dead when she takes these quick naps.
