    Breed ID please - new baby ducks

    Looks to me like the black one is Crested Ancona, and the yellow one is Pekin or White Buff, a cross beetween a pekin and a buff duck.

    Hole in my Ducks foot?

    I checked on my white layer duck yesterday and there was a small hole in it's foot. Any possible ways this could happen? hope to get pics soon.

    We were hoping to someday get Mandarin and Wood Ducks, but there is one question I keep wondering. Can you eat their non-fertile eggs?

    :(Sounds to me like Black swedish, they are a great breed . Your knob head one has a crested mutation, NOT A BAD MUTATION they are beautiful when they grow up! I had a Black Swedish duck but it died when it was 4 weeks old:(
