    Rooster trying to kill us

My wife's secret for handling our Rooster, a Road Island Red rooster is she applies the essential oil of Rose oil. Why, what a surprise when the rooster actually submitted to her and let her put her hand on his back and also to pet him. However what I usually do is to accept the challenge and...

What is throwing me off is the bird is almost a pure gray with well defined neck. But if an Australorp that would be kewl. Thanks for your reply!

Anyone know what breed this beautiful gray hen is?

Fell From Heaven to My Back Yard

Since it has cooled down a bit from 108 degree temperatures, Wisty is a bit more active. She loves seeded watermelon and other seeded melons. And she will jump up and take pieces of pancakes out of my hand. Great ability to judge and grab :p never thought I would see a chicken leap into the air...

Finally was able to upload some pics of our bird that fell from the sky. Call her Wisty since she loves to hide inside the wisteria bush.

Fell From Heaven to My Back Yard

Thank you NFC, I am going to try and get her at least one buddy to teach her how to be a chicken! Ha Ha! Giving her daily walks, have to lift her off her roost every day or she will stay up there. When I do, she becomes a chicken in my backyard, but she is a little hesitant to get down. Giving...
