I'm home during the day and usually don't let them out until 9am. When I open the door they can't wait to get out, start jumping out (3 1/2 ft off ground). I have 2 orps, 2 brahma, 1 cochin.
I go out several times during the day to check on them and their water, the coop has a 60 watt bulb...
They're 10 weeks old and a couple have yet to climb the walkway to the coop, I still am having to put them in at night even with a light on in the coop, I just worry they'll freeze before figuring it out.
No, they aren't roosting outside they are usually out in the pen from 9am-5:30pm. They haven't free ranged yet,I'm still trying to get this part done before I begin a new adventure. I do give them treats in the morning when I first go to let them out, then once in the middle of the day and again...
Is it too late to have them stay in the coop for a few days? I have been keeping the light on for them all night as it's been getting pretty cold (25-30). I'm new at this so any help/advice I can use.
Every evening I have to bribe them to get them to go in. I have 5 and 3 of them will go up the walkway and after I get them in I have to catch the other 2. I've had them since they were 3 days old, no mama to show them, they are now 10weeks and have been out in the coop/run for 2 weeks. Any ideas?
