i got 5kg premixed layers pellets + flubenvet from happychicks.co.uk, no mixing, awesome website...ordered it online and got it next day for 13 quid. Glad you figured it out though!
I think I'm just going to keep them in their run for the next 7 days so they don't eat anything but their pellets. I don't know how to measure kg's without a scale, the instructions on my feed don't say anything about measuring out feed so I'm gonna just put it in their feeder like normal.
Going to worm my girls for the next seven days through pre-mixed flubenvet pellets...my girls are normally free range all day in the back garden eating grass and different things, so should I keep them in their coop & run for the next week so that they ONLY eat there worming pellets?
Checked out your thread and mine was doing the same exact thing, I live in the UK as well and the temp definitely dropped recently. Hope your girl gets better.
Noticed today that my White Star hen Twinkle (as named by my daughter) has lost some color in the middle of her comb and it's pretty floppy. She just started laying a week ago, not sure if this is normal or not. My wife says I'm acting like a hypochondriac!
Larry is back to her normal self today, don't know what the deal was yesterday. Thank you willowbranchfarms for the link, I think it was a little over my head though...definitely ordered some wormer this morning though.
Checked today for lice and mites on her skin and found nothing, soaked her bum in warm water and checked for egg and nothing...I put some worming powder(Paragon) in their food every once in a while, but nothing consistent. Is there a worming method/product that you would recommend? Thank you.
My Speckledy hen Larry, who should be close to laying her first egg, is displaying unusual behavior in the past 2 days. She is following her other friends around the back yard like usual, but when they start scratching and pecking around, she just stands there with her eyes closed and head...
Hello BYC'ers,
I live in England right now, and I have a Speckledy, Polish, and White Star hen. My Speckledy, named Larry, just started sleeping standing up during the daytime outside and it's making me nervous. She should start laying soon, so hopefully that's the reason. This is why...
