I have 2 broody hens that have been in the boxes for about 2 weeks, and there stomach is completely bare. I have another bird that just started being broody a few days ago her stomach is bare too. Is this normal and if not what can I do?
I have 31 laying birds they are all 7 months old but only 25 of them have been laying and it has been like this for a couple of weeks now. Do you think that they just don't have enough sunlight or what? Thanks in advance.
I feed my birds twice a day, I like to keep my feeders completely full because if they run out of food and they get hungry they may peck at each other. And like Fred' Hens said they will start eating more and more so keep a close eye on that.
I have a 9 week old chick that has a problem with both her feet, the left on the toes are all curled up, the right one has its leg sticking straight off to the side. Is there anything i can do to help her?
I have 28, 9 week olds and I have 5, 20ish week olds coming what should I feed them, a layer crumbles, all chick crumbles, an mixture, or is there a premade feed for this problem. PS, I would perfer to not seperate them but it could be done, and I am using chick crumbles for my 9 week olds...
