definitly game maybe not modern, station isn't high enough . there is a variety of american fighting game called greenleg. can you check back where you got it?? she should be a great mom.
well that redbrown one may be a partridge rock and looks like a pullet. the black one looks like an austrolorp. either way if they are both girls they'll make good birds.!
have you been to oakridge gamebirds? i'm not sure if they have the bantam forms but they have a lot of gamebird links. do you know of any good modern game bantam sites?
hope you find what you are looking for.
if you have no other info i.d. at this age is tricky .looks like an oriental game or a cross. will probably crow at any where from 2to4 months old. got big legs like orientals but has alot of comb and waddles to be pure. won't have proper station(the way it stands) until much older. nice looking...
if your hen has been setting on these eggs for more than 21 or22 days they are not going to hatch. what you are smelling are rotten eggs if she continues to set them they will explode under her leaving a worse mess than the one you already had. you did not say but do you have a rooster? hens...
great looking chicks everyone . i'm sorry to report i lost my first clutch to a predator and my hen. she insisted on escaping into the treeline not a good plan. her sister is smarter she's hiding hers in the storage shed behind about a thousand lbs. of junk. she was trying to cover 21 eggs...
thanx to all for the nice greetings nice to meet you all. well the only news today is that one of my hens FINALLY went broody and i have hopes of a very interesting bunch of babies. having just relocated i've been letting my girls free range with only one rooster to guard them so it looks like i...
hi i'm a returning newbie never got to this part. i raise orientals and am looking for a modern game bantam hen as well. i have been reading theposts on the various birds in this group and hope to post pics as well would'nt mind some input on them. i have saipan ,malay, asil, madascar ...
re;do they not have tails? yes unfortunately however due to their independent nature they sometimes lose them to predators. the sudden loss or release of tail feathers can actually save their life! so sometimes a little less tail coverage can be a good thing.
this CHICK is an american game chicken possibly hatch blueleg or straight blueleg .these are bloodline names. it is very independent because most of those gamebirds are raised survival of the fittest and will care for itself at a very young age. i have one that is almost identical.sorry no pics...
