    6 Week Silkie Guess Who

Hi All! I have four 6 week old silkies. I know they can be difficult to sex and DNA testing is generally recommended for early sexing. But I know there are some, like me, who still like the play the game: hen or roo. 😂 They’re all very squirrelly, making photo shoots difficult. But, for...

    Hatchling On Its Back

Thank you all for your input! It seems as though I was way ahead of myself. This baby righted itself after a few hours and is perfectly fine now. Comparing online pictures to this one, I’d guess we have a rooster… which is very fitting for how he started out. 😆

    Hatchling On Its Back

Hi All! My first polish hatched this afternoon. I’ve never had a chick get stuck on its back as frequently as this one is right after hatching. It’s only been a few hours since it hatched but it is spending considerable time like this. How would I tell if this is neurological or just the chick...

    Regular Silkies?

Thank you! I’m pretty sure they’ll be all white. Just wasn’t sure if this is typical feather development.

    Regular Silkies?

Hello! Curious if these are regular silkies. They’re from Tractor Supply so I don’t have much info. Should be about a week old. TIA!
