Maybe I need to get a large needle. The air is removed with the smaller needle but it comes back when she breathes. I called 2 different vets and it’s $385 for the exam, bloodwork, and x-ray. That doesn’t include the hospitalization or surgery or meds. They told me if it doesn’t get fixed, she...
I poked the lump with a needle and could hear the air coming out. However, the lump is still there. Do I have to poke again?
I’m also putting Neosporin on her feet 2x a day and cleaning the cage more. I moved the heat lamp up to the top of the cage so they aren’t staying in one area as much.
I’ll start on this tomorrow morning. For the air sac- I’m 2.5 hours away from the vets listed and work full time (and have 4 kids) so I haven’t a clue how I’d get there. Can I try the needle thing at home or should I just let it be since it isn’t effecting her? I read on some thread that it’s a...

I looked up a diagram and it does make sense that it would be an air sac! I’m in Illinois. She is breathing the same as the others- I can’t tell them apart without looking for the lump. It came on very suddenly and it feels like air.
He smells normal. The lump feels squishy
I have 3 ducklings in here. What can I do about the feet?
The lump is so far behind the legs it seems like the lungs wouldn’t go that far back? She is acting totally normal and pooping and eating and drinking. They have all been inside since they were...
Hello everyone- I need help. We hatched out 3 ducklings two weeks ago and things have been fine. This isn’t our first time with ducks. However, I noticed tonight that one of them has a lump on it’s bottom, right side. It’s acting totally normal and pooping. What can be the problem?
