    I bought some cochin bantam chicks at the last swap. I noticed one has silkied feathers. She's very pretty! I have found out she is Purebred, She is a Silkied Cochin Bantam. Has anyone ever had one of these before? If I put her with my Cochin rooster I should get 50/50 silkied and normal cochins...

    I have a question about colors?! I ordered Blue White top Polish. Are they like other blue chickens when it comes to the "Blue Gene"?....ex. Blue + Blue = Blue, Black, or Splash babies.

    Okay so here's my plan (I'm a planner lol).... Splash smooth rooster--> black frizzle hen-------> (hoping for at least one) blue frizzle hen --> splash rooster..... Hoping this works :-) I know it will take awhile but that's okay.

    This is why I love this website!!! I had no idea you shouldn't breed frizzles together! I have learned so much here about colors and genetics! No one around where I live will help me.... They want to be the only ones that sell certain colors :-(
