If I were diagnosed with leukemia or with most types of cancer, I would do several things:
1) Cease eating animal products entirely (as a lacto-ovo-vegetarian I usually consume some milk and eggs);
2) Exercise more out in the open air (I should be doing this pre-diagnosis!);
3) Take a minimum...
To me, it looks very reminiscent of wild mango or perhaps Marian plum (Bouea burmanica--native to southeast Asia, also called mango plum). You have two apparently dissimilar photos of the leaves, however, and one of the photos looks more mango-like while the other looks more like cherry or elm...
Well, now looking at that photo, I'm also wondering about salpingitis. I'm no expert on this one, but it would be another possibility worth considering.
I feel virtually like a broken record and/or a monomaniac for this, but seriously, droopiness was the very first symptom I noticed in my three birds that all died of (unconfirmed) Marek's disease. I knew nothing at the time of Marek's--I was totally ignorant of it. I even named the pullet...
To say "there is no cure," one goes beyond the realm of scientifically supportable statements, because one of the cardinal rules of science is that it is not possible to prove the non-existence of something. I choose to believe there is a cure, even if we may not have found it yet. "Proof" is...
I've never tried such a thing either, but I have serious doubts it would work. It sounds like myth of the same caliber that persuaded many to abandon the rice christening at weddings and go with birdseed instead. The myth was that the rice would swell in the birds' stomachs and kill...
"...most likely..."
"...definitely..."
Your confidence increased here regarding his chickens spreading Marek's...and I wonder what support you have for reaching your conclusion. I don't require peer-reviewed journals...anecdotal evidence or anything that helped you conclude as you have would...
Are you meaning the soil part or the grass? They'll eat a little soil sometimes, but not much. But they love to eat grass, some varieties more than others.
I'm a vegetarian and didn't even think of the barbecue kind--I never eat barbecued food. Yes, I was thinking of the pharmaceutical variety of charcoal such as is often obtainable in tablet or capsule form, or sometimes a powder that one mixes with water.
I'm not a pyrotechnics engineer, but I don't believe there's much risk of stomach acid triggering an explosive. I think a bigger concern might be the chemicals in it. I would recommend feeding her some charcoal.
Cute catachresis there--I presume you meant "bout." For myself, even if the whole world wants to go into panic mode about biological matters (or otherwise), I refuse to be forced to fear. For example, during the initial covid lockdowns I still visited sick friends in the hospital, without a...
In most cases, it's really not the seller's fault. You should be trying to get your money back from the postal system, not the seller. I think when one is purchasing hatching eggs through the mail one must be prepared to accept the risks.
I've never tried to get my money back when the eggs...
Read more about shipped eggs. Don't expect a high hatch rate or you will be disappointed. If you get as much as 20% it's probably quite good. A recent discussion on hatching eBay eggs that you might enjoy is HERE.
I'd like some answers to this, too. I don't know much about the risks for mycoplasma, but have chosen to buy hatching eggs to start my flock as well, and would very much like to know more about this. You have asked good questions--surely someone here will be able to share some knowledge about...
