    They are referring to the use of anti-biotics in factory farming. In this case, the anti-biotics are being fed on a daily basis as a preventative. They need to do this because of the conditions the birds/animals are being kept in; overcrowding ect....so it is the conditons, not the anti-biotics...

    Sounds like you have bruised the skin covering the tailbone. What is needed is a donut pillow for your car and one for the torture device at work. A life saver ring might be good there if others are having the same problem. It would be more durable and might even help to spin you around.

    I feed my meaty breeders the same as my other chickens. They have to compete with 5 ducks, 5 geese 4 turkeys (2 -2yr. old BBW turkey hens every bit as nice as Cx chickens) and about 50 other chickens. They do quite well. As stated, bumble foot is the biggest problem after a year.
