    Hopefully you are correct and it is a faster growing female and not just a second cockerel. Tag it and find out. If it is a pullet then evaluate for any major flaws, if none then breeder! Fast fleshing is a trait of Deleware and New Hampshire. It should be bred for.

    Use what you already have. They will work fine. Select for traits you desire each year and you'll end up with exactly what you want. A hardy, friendly, moderate laying mutt.

    Washboarding- The anti robbing scent makes the most sense to me. Folks in the South that experience a summer dearth and then a fall flow say the bees washboard at the start of both dearths.
