    P.S. I have 1 1/2 yr old geese, and LOVE them. They are American Buff, and are great alarms. Sweet, non aggressive. Two girls. Thank you! What would I look for at this age if they were Toms?

    You don't have BBW's. Mine were easily 40 lbs dressed weight by 6 months. I have 3 Midget Whites I bought from TSC. They are 5 months old. Can you tell what sex they are now?

    Another way to store eggs that will last for a couple YEARS is by water glassing them! I had several hundred water glassed at one time.

    Did you have to cull? I have a chick born with no eye, and scissor beak. It wasn't hatching on its own, so I helped a bit. That's when I noticed it. Then, I hoped it would die before fully hatching. It wasn't dying. THEN, the only other chick I had helped hatch, but may have waited too...

    I bred my bearded white dominant roo silkie with my black bearded bow-tie showgirl hen. The chicks are all splash/painted. Cute either way! Question:. The chicks do not appear to be bearded? Why is that?
