    What do you wish you had known before you got your chickens

    I bought a sick bird and she not only died but she took to other hens with her... the medicine I was sold worked wonders!!! but it was no fun trying to figure out why my girls were dying

    what are the biggest factors to make hens lay eggs?

    My girls have a coop with a connected fenced in side yard, they go in and out as much as they want to, they are about 6 months old... they are not laying yet will they lay before winter? and why is lighting so important? (I'm new to this in case you couldnt tell)
