As I've paid more attention, she is taking the eggs that are on the edge that the male is moving out of the nest. And, she is always broody it seems. She's always wanting to hang out with the mom of babies and she gets chased off. She's now begun sitting on them and just now I went out and...
I have about a dozen wild muscovies that come and go, sleep, and now lay eggs in my backyard on a canal. There is a lone female that none of the males like, or females. We found 6 eggs Sunday. This poor lone female sits there like she's laying, but never does. A specific male comes along...
Thank you all so much! She has been laying on the eggs (3 of them) every day now for a week. She gets out in the morning and eats and drinks then goes back immediately. My husband says she does the cobra strike when you try to look under her. She's so fast, it's kind of scary haha! But, we...
Thank you folks! She is a tiny girl and she has three little eggs and she does take small breaks. She quit laying and is doing a "cobra strike" to me if I try to get too close.

Thank you all so much! Even though I wanted a boy and a girl, I wouldn't give my babes up for anything, so since they were raised together, hopefully they will always get along. Sometimes they have a "stare-off" but no fighting has occurred.
Ok one more question....here's my rooster and he and she? were hatched the same day from the same mom, so if the black one is a rooster too, how come she/he doesn't have the wattles hanging down like the grey rooster? I'm confused....thanks!
