@NatJ thank you. I am thinking the same thing. I have time this week as its holidays here in the UK, but will have to go back to work next week and won't have time to care for it. It just feels very final and I need to prepare myself first 😞
The blood streak wasn't there yesterday, so I'm fairly confident that it's hurt itself.
Compared to the other chick that hatch about 10 hours before, this one is so underdeveloped. I'm just not sure at what point I give up 😢
Help please! I hatched a chick 4 days ago and it has wry neck. I have been hand feeding it with Vitamin E and egg and some chick vitamins.
This morning I came to find my incubator (to keep it separate from the others) covered in blood and my little chick no better. It has an injury to its toe...

No, I appreciate that! I'm truly grateful!
Yes, I separated it straight away. It's currently in my incubator which I've turned down - although not really sure what temp to put it at since it can't get away from the heat, but want it to be warm enough! Any advice very gratefully received!
I have managed to give it a bit! I think because it was more liquid, it took it by me just putting it a drop on its little beak at a time, rather than sticking it down it's throat, which made it a but more pleasant. Happy that it's taken some! Will have another go in an hour!
It seems really strong considering! It falls over because it can't balance where its head just goes up and over. If I hover my finger over its head so it can't push its head up, it can stand.
I will look into getting some liquid food. I hope that's something I can find in the UK!
Tjanks fir all...
Many thanks for that. I have bought some special vitamin liquid which the little chick has managed to take, but I just can't get it to take much food.
I will keep trying with the egg. Hopefully little Chickpea will eventually find that food is good!
I hatched out a couple of chicks on Tuesday and one of them has a wry neck. I have read lots of things which suggest giving it Vitamin E and selenium. I have managed to get some chick multivitamin stuff which it can drink, and I've managed to get it to take on some, but it really doesn't seem to...
No real improvement. I have been able to at least get some fluids in, with some extra vitamins. Food is a whole different problem though. If I wipe a little tiny bit if scrambled egg onto its beak, I might be lucky and it might fall in, but it's not "willingly" pecking at any food. I just don't...
