Eyes sealed shut & not eating or drinking - day 2!

UPDATE: 2 STEPS FORWARD, 1 STEP BACK This little hen was doing so well that I released her to be with the rest of the flock yesterday. But this morning, she was still on the roosting bar and one of her eyes was back to being shut. Ugh! She had been doing so well! She hasn't had an eye shut...

    Limp Leg! Broken? Dislocated? Bumblefoot?

UPDATE: NOT BUMBLEFOOT - TEAR INJURY I took the rooster to a chiropractor. His leg is dislocated from his hip joint and won't stay in. The muscle/tendon/ligament that is supposed to hold his leg in that joint is torn, so his leg just can't stay in place. :( I haven't been able to find any...

Dark Spots on Otherwise Healthy Chicken's Legs

Hello - can I ask for an update? Does your chicken still have spotted legs, or did the spots go away with caster oil?

Have you looked at articles on Bumblefoot yet? Check out symptoms and see if she has the spots on her feet.

    Limp Leg! Broken? Dislocated? Bumblefoot?

About a week ago, Roosta-Roo started limping. :( The vet who saw him on Monday thought it was his leg instead of his foot. She suggested keeping his movement limited & that he should heal on his own in about a week. (He's no better and maybe a little worse & we're on Day 7.) He does look like...

    Bumblefoot Question in Rooster

Yep. But it's not swollen or red, so do I need to wait to work on it?
