    Hi wondered if you could advise? I have 3 eggs in incubator and on day 20 there was lots of movement then nothing on day 21. This afternoon ( day 22) there is a hairline cracking but no pip. I have been checking and have seen no movement all day. All 3 eggs are developed well all the way...

    yes I've only had my chickens for a year and I always spend time just watching them:) never knew you could learn so much about them. Was so surprised. And excited when we had a broody hen it's just lovely watching them grow and play :)

    Rooster sitting on eggs????

    I have 5 hens and my rooster has now started following my top of the pecking order hen when she lays and then when she leaves he sits on it. The hen doesn't seem broody though! He also guards her like everytime she is trying to lay her egg. I've not seen him do this with other hens.

    Yay!thought 4 out of 5 hatched but today there are 5 chicks. Cannot believe 5out of 5 for our very first hatch. So happy they are all eating and drinking, watching their mother and popping in and out from under her.
