    thanks. they were given to me. I do have some that I'm sure are girls. I dont mind the breed but was wondering I'll update in a few weeks with the pics of the girls the momma did look like a silkie

    help a newbie mixing breeds

    I have 6 Hy-line hens, 2 bantams, and 1 Barbrock and a Rhode island red rooster. I let them out everyday so they are freerange. we feed them, table scraps, laying mash and maize pellets. if I wanted would the hyline hens and the rhode island rooster make good laying chicks? and how would I check...
