Hi all, we have one lonely silkie and I’m having a hard time sexing them. They’re about 8 weeks old now. I know the photos aren’t the best, but I’m leaning towards female. Any guesses? Thanks!
We replace them all each time, and it’s only been a few days (so in theory she would only be on the nest 3-5 days longer than “normal”). We’ll likely put her in her own spot :)
Hello! We have a broody hen that is sitting on some eggs (all good there!), but when she gets up to eat/drink once a day another hen races in and eats as many eggs as she can before the broody one gets back. We keep replacing the eggs for our broody girl, but at this point it’s getting...
She has been separated and is eating and drinking fine. We think she just had some feathers pulled out, but one foot is a little more swollen on the pad. We’ll keep an eye on her for now.

Thanks! The group of them at the end is the 7 chicks, I was just trying to get good pictures of them all (surprisingly hard!). I knew a few were roos, but some of the others were tricky. :)
