    positive! both of her sisters look to be purebred bcms but her and a roo from the same batch have cheeks! here is a pick of the roo and one of her sisters. she also has feathered feet!

    here is a roos hatched from the same batch of eggs and one of my what i believe is a purebred bcm pullets! Not sure what kind of genes he has in him but we live in canada where the temps drop super low ... -36 celcius tonight! so i’m not complaining about the fact he has cheeks to keep him warm!

    she has to be some sort of BCM those she was hatched from a beautiful dark egg!

    Hi All, So i picked up some “purebred black copper maran” chicks this summer. I’ve got 3 hens, 2 of which look like they are purebred but then i’ve got this girl who’s got some fuzzy cheeks! any guesses to what she is? or what color of eggs she’ll lay?

    it might just be me wishful thinking but if i look at chick number 3 long enough she looks darker than the males with almost not comb color development!

    hi! thanks for all the help! i’ve shared the photos again and numbered the chicks so there’s no mix ups! i believe that the female chicks are: 1,3,5,6,7,11,13,14 what do you think?
