Hi All, I know this post is really old but I have been having the same issue. I have found a solution. I put a layer of horse stable matting down. It's soft on the chickens feet and all I have to do is hose it off once a week. It seems to be working great!
Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
