    Why have my hens suddenly quit laying

    I have 2 hens that became broody at the same time . I dont have a rooster , so I went to a friend of mine and got 4 fertilized eggs . Both hens sat but only one chick hatched . They both claim the chick . My problem is that its been 4 weeks, and the hens never went back to laying . Any advice...

    The bottom is double wired. We are in Florida. Plenty of predators.
