    Yes, she is great! As of this writing, she has 5 eggs and will lay until she accumulates 16 or 17 eggs. But this time, I will leave only 5 of her own eggs and put Polish and Ameraucana's eggs instead! The last time she brooded, I put 6 Barred Rock eggs & she hatched them all! She is a litte blue...

    Thanks for the warm welcome. I attended one chicken show somewhere in Morristown County and learned more on how to take care of chickens. I have one Silkie blue that loves to lay and brood eggs. She laid eggs again after 3 weeks of hatching her eggs.

    Glad to be a new member! I am from Union, NJ. I started having my chickens after Sandy visited the North Eastern Seaboard. I found them along the road & brought them home. Since then I got interested in raising few more breeds like Silkies! Thanks!
