    Silkie cross photos

Yeah it is interesting that she didn't take up more leg feathering. That would make sense if the Brahma is crossed. We got her from Rural King and I've had a chicken not look purebred from there before

Bantam frizzles? What are your experiences?

I own both Silkies and Sizzles (The Sizzles have a little Polish in there and there's some with EE and Salmon Faverolle, but they mostly have the Sizzle traits😂), and I will say that both breeds are some of the sweetest, goofy, and most broody chickens I have ever owned lol! They have great...

    Silkie cross photos

She had molted her feathered feet and the feathers have not grown back yet. She has more smaller sized feathers on the feet like the silkies rather than bigger sized ones (I’ll attach some photos). You can kinda see the little feathers coming in on the feet. She has the same colors and...

    Everyone's a critic now.

My girls don't like it when I wear jackets that are unzipped, especially my gray The Nightmare Before Christmas jacket, I guess they look like giant bird wings to them😂. They also don't approve of loose fitting pants, I become a predator once I put those on

    Silkie cross photos

I currently have six Silkie crosses. This is Sapphire, she is my first Silkie cross and is crossed with an Olive Egger. Next is Cappuccino, she is crossed with a Buff Brahma. This is Maple, we got her from a farm swap. She is a Silkie, Frizzle, and Polish mix. Next up is Sugar, she is...

    Bantam Chick Identification

#1 and 2: Showgirls (Naked Neck Silkie), #1 looks like it could be a paint, and #2 looks like a blue. #3 looks like a Bantam Ameraucana, or a Cochin (if it has super fluffy feet). #4 Looks to be a Buff Silkie. #5 Looks like a Silkie but I could be wrong. #6 I'm also not too sure on...

What Mug Are You Using Today?

This has been my favorite mug that I’ve owned so far, it was a Christmas gift from my mom :)

    My roosters spurs

I haven't needed to do anything for my roosters spurs yet, but gently twisting them off with a pair of pliers is the safest way I've heard. Since the spur is hollow inside, the whole thing will come off and you won't risk cutting the inside tissue and hurting the roo

Will she molt out of these shredded feathers?

You're welcome! Yeah if she's under a year old she probably hasn't had her first big molt yet so I'm sure they will grow back feathered when she does. She is a very pretty hen!

Will she molt out of these shredded feathers?

My Frizzle mix has flight feathers that have the same issue after some time. If they were feathered before then they will grow back to normal after she molts so there's no worries:)
