    Barred Rock- 8 weeks. Roo or pullet?

    It looks like pullet , if it were a roo it should have more white because they have a double barred gene.

    What am I?

    I bought this chicken from the mixed bantam box at Atwood. As it got feathers they came in white with some black through out now this chicken has got a lot of buff I have no idea what it could possibly be can any one help identify .

    trying to learn from my mistakes. help welcome!

    The smaller one sounds like it may be a bantam. They usually come from smaller eggs and will always be smaller than the standard chicks. As long as it is doing good I would not be concerned.

    Chick sleeping standing up?

    All of my little chick's have done it some with comical flare. I keep on try to catch them at the sleeping dance but always manage to miss it. Needless to say it is quite funny to watch them nod and sway till they either fall over or lay down.
