Additional info: she is about 5 months old and lives with a flock of 14. Two of the chickens have bumblefoot which are being treated, but none have been recently ill.

    Lethargic and no appetite

Last night we found one of our chickens lying on the ground. She is very weak and there seems to be moisture in her lungs (from what I can hear). We have separated her from the rest of the flock and she has been drinking water, but I haven't seen her eat. I've been trying to hand feed her but...

    Help with a weak keet

Are there specific electrolytes that you usually use? I think we only have packets meant for people at the moment, I don't know if I can use that

    Help with a weak keet

Thank you so much. I wish I could add a video so I can show how she's moving. My main concern is that she's really not wanting to eat

    Help with a weak keet

Thank you very much for the advice. Did yours also move her neck around weirdly, almost as if it's seizing? I am going to continue doing what I'm doing and hope for the best, it breaks my heart to see her like this. What is eager?

    Help with a weak keet

Hi all This morning we found an abandoned keet at the nearby horse stables this morning, baby was very weak (probably hadn't eaten in a while) and the rest of the flock was nowhere to be seen. We took her in and I tried to feed her egg yolk and growing mash, she refused to eat either and I could...

    Scaly leg mites??

I did, and it looks like some of mine have slightly raised scales. I might just be paranoid but I just want to be safe

Broody or Bust: Can You Handle a Sitting Hen?

Question: Why set up a broody jail instead of just waiting until they stop by themselves? Is there some harm to letting them brood without intention of hatching?

    Scaly leg mites??

Hi all, I noticed that our adult chickens have slightly raised scales on their feet? Is this SLM? If so, I heard it can stay behind in their coop and infect them again. How do I disinfect the entire coop?

Help with sexing 7 week old easter eggers!

Hi all, I have half a dozen of 7 week old easter eggers that we got from a local breeder. aren't allowed to keep roosters where we live, so I am hoping we only have pullets. Now that they are a bit older, I'm hoping their gender will be distinguishable. Other threads have told me to look at...
