Hey everyone! I haven't been on here years! The virus is giving me a few months of free time so I'm gardening again and also raising two ducks. Perkins this time. They're 8 weeks old. Last time it was about a dozen Rouens.
I'm having a new issue. Started recently. They sleep in my greenhouse...
Ugh that sounds gross. Pine pellets are amazing. Made for horse bedding. Absorbs moisture very well. Make sure they have plenty of space too. Makes a big difference. They grow fast two.
I think mine had 3 home upgrades and then a 4th to outside (much sooner than I wanted) at 3.5wks. It's great...
So sorry to hear. I've been worried about something like this happening. At night they're trapped the way I see it. I've actually been thinking of getting another bigger outdoor dog, maybe a lab? Something that will love the ducks and mess up something that messes with them
Oh boy. I have 12. I was going to wait until 6 weeks but @3.5 weeks they got their 4th and final home upgrade to outside. They were just growing too fast and I couldn't keep things clean. It was so nice instantly
Maybe also small amounts of food mixed in or mashed eggs. Best of luck. Sorry to say tho, in my personal experience, and what I've seen with others, they usually don't make it. Even when they're getting better.. A few days later, it appears to come unexpectedly.
Again best of luck. Just be...
I had the same idea. Still never did the automatic.
Mine were very easy to train to go into the greenhouse at night. I'll admit, they sometimes stay out late now. A few times they've tried sleeping outside but when they get scared they run to bed.
I think it's being teenagers. Staying up...
I love them! They're great. They poop a lot and make a mess. Make sure they have a good setup so they can't spill water. They grow up really fast. Read up and if you have any specific questions or concerns just ask. Great people here to help
What's the state and license plate?
Remember people, innocent until proven guilt. It *sound* like, well, you know. But she deserves the opportunity to explain herself.. Maybe @sweetcaroline is the crazy beach. Or never saw anything, but believed crazy a$ b's story.
Also County please.
That seems strange to me. (from what I know)
Mine are about to be 5 months :) so soon. Aside, from temp, which I didn't know, doesn't sunlight hours play a huge roll?
What part of Florida? Wondering cuz I'm in Tallahassee
