    It was a very decent sized hole and still no progress all day so i decided to assist. Looks like having the hole open that long dried some membrane making it harder to zip. Was also positioned weird in the egg and had curled toes. Ive splinted it and other than that seems healthy

    Its not the end of the world... im still glad i forked out the money to help them. We managed to keep a rooster a secret for almost 2 years, only reason we got caught was coz we got really sick with flu and couldnt get out of bed to lock him up for the night so he started crowing at 4 am.

    Im never using a heat lamp again tbh. I was using a plate but i got more chicks that were a lot smaller and they needed the plate more and since I only had 1 plate thats why i swapped the older ones to the lamp. Plates are just pricey, but you know whats more pricey? Vet bills lol
