    Carnivores Waking Up

If you want to plant carnivorous plants I could help but theyre the only plants I grow besides random plants like ant plants, amorphophallus and star cactus.

Hi Tim. These are just a hobby though I do sell extras when I have them. Looks like you have a drosera capensis. Its actually a tropical sundew and doesnt require a dormancy. You could just take it in the house when it gets too cold and grow it under a light. Congrats on the leaf strikes!

    Silkie thread!

Not a silkie but a buff polish x black silkie. I'm very anxious to see what it will look like when its an adult.

    First try at incubating

The final count is 13 out of 15. I'm really happy with this hatch!

    First try at incubating

I candled like crazy this time and I might get %100 hatch rate! I did turn the eggs 5-7 times a day and raised temps in the incubator so that could probably be the reason I got more hatches this time. Im 10 out of 15 so far with pips on 4 of the remaining 5.

    First try at incubating

Wskline- I initially had them in the cartons but found turning much easier with them just lying on their sides. Good luck!

    First try at incubating

Wish I had a hen old enough to be broody:(. I have 2 buff polish hatched and pips on 3 silkie/showgirl, 3 golden laced polish and 1 cochin egg moving around. 9 out of 15 so far. Post pics a lil later.

If youre having pest problems id use imidacloprid. Its a systemic insecticide that works from the inside of the plant out. I think the bayer brand insecticides have it. I like it and its all I use for pest just a couple times a year. Your plants look healthy otherwise. Nice capensis!
