    Can anyone understand what hens are saying? I’m am serious. Not a joke. I have had my first flock one hen who came up to me every morning and inform me what had happened all night. I now have one hen who holds a conversation with me occasionally.i just talk like they understand me. Do they? Thanks

    Northern Hemisphere chicken keepers. Hang in there.

    Someone said on here I think to use a red led light. I found a led bulb enclosed in plastic 4 watt at ace hardware.its the size of a floodlight. I run it from 5am until sunrise and 4pm till 8pm 8 hens over a year and 16 hatched this year. I get 11 to 19 eggs a day now try it you will like it!

    My house is 1 acre. Can my neighbr hear my rooster?

    For the past 30 years a rooster has been crowing I kept the tradition until my rooster attacked me. So he’s gone and I’m asked frequently by neighbors why he stopped crowing they liked the crowing! My town says NO ROOSTERS. Oh well

    Five week old chicks not going into coop at night

    Is that the northeast corner? That’s where my 6 week olds when I first moved them outside. They eventually moved into the coop. All 13 in an old tractor supply coop 4 yrs old.

    how to select the right coup and run. I have been looking at tractor supply at coups and runs for about 14 to 16 chickens, why only 3 nesting boxes.

    I bought a coop at TS. I attached 1x6 ground contact would to bottom standing on end. Painted it with good outdoor paint. After three years the roof rotted from rain water. It’s now under a covered run. Good luck.
