Well! Sugar is here! She reached fully hatched status yesterday evening! Here she is! We are so excited! My oldest boy loves being Duck Pappa. 🦆

No one seems to be looking at this thread anymore. But in case someone does in the future! I have one duck egg that made it though and we are now to day 28! It pipped yesterday and we are almost bow 25 hrs after first pipping! So excited. My boys and girl are so excited! Our baby is coming!

Uggh....they all look like quitters.....booo. except the one...that is younger....and that is what the others looked like last week......bummed.

We checked this morning and all five of my first set are alive! Yay! Here we go!! And two more to check that I set four days after these babies. So exciting. I always get so excited!

Hello! I am on day 6 (and day 1) of my Pekin duck eggs. This is my first time incubating duck eggs! They are from our recently deceased male, Cinnamon and our recently deceased female, Maple . ...my story is in another thread that I started last week to do a hatch along ....but i posted it...

Yeah. Agree! 💯 We didn't think it was an owl either!! Until we spent all day investigating.....believe me ...it was not a raccoon. No evidence of one at all ...it was crazy!! It was like a vampire came and got our ducks..and I know that is what they say about Owls..that they leave No TRACE...

The first time, we.messed up, when we lost our Drake....We have a tall fence and we have a super fort for our chickens. But I got us two Pekin ducks last end of summer, and my husband did not want to make them a house or couldn't.yet. ... anyways.... they were left out at night in our fenced in...

I have the Nurture 360 incubator. It will turn until lockdown....I appreciate all your ideas. Thank you!

Welp ! I couldn't help myself and I canceled today, just one,while my boys were outside playing (I am a homeschooler) ....and it's alive!! Yay! And I posted a other thread today about staggered hatches...for ducks ..I went ahead and did it. I put in our Maples Last egg that we rescued from her...

Awww. I'm so sorry about your duck! Our Drake was taken too, last week and that's why I started to incubate six days ago....we didn't realize the owl knew how to get into their coop for her.... He opened their door we think! It is wild! My incubator does turn....so....is that one egg going to be...

Help...with staggered hatch of duck eggs....has anyone done it in the same incubator? At 6 days in? Thank you!! I just want to add in one more ...our female got eaten yesterday by a great horned owl...and my husband was able to take her LAST egg out of her, unharmed (she was only half eaten;( )...

Oh! Well, I am not the best advisor for setting duck eggs expert since this is my first time setting Ducklings to-be! Fingers crossed! And come along for the journey with me....I'm sure there will be somethings to be gleaned from this month's journey tht will help you! Our Drake was only seven...
