    Egg Value

Well when I show pictures of my flocks to coworkers, or friends that visit the ranch, they are always impressed with how beautiful they are. So when coworkers know how "organic" and true my chickens are raised, they instantly start asking how much, even for the meat! I try to keep the price low...

    Closely Feathered vs. Fluffy?

    Sulmtalers Thread

Hi there, long time no see! So I have been trying to hatch out my Sulmtaler's eggs and no success, other breeds incubated with these eggs have hatch without problems. Is there something specific in the conditions that they need different from the typical hatch?

    Peacock x Chicken hybrid.

Sorry to stir a cold pot, but I have a PeaHen, I've seen her try to mate with one of my chicken roosters, not sure though if they've connected successfully. But she is now broody. I only see her once in a day, honking as she comes and goes. She acts like my broody chickens too though, comes to...

    The Duck Thread

Good evening, I am a first time duck owner. We acquired 2 ducklings that looked totally different from each other at first. Now they are both exhibiting the same look and characteristics but, 1 is bigger than the other. I have come to the conclusion that both are boys and the smaller one is...

BREEDING FOR PRODUCTION...EGGS AND OR MEAT.

They aren't quite up to weight yet, I butchered the first one and it dressed at only 3 lb 4 oz! No panting yet, just flops around, using wings for balance and not able to stand... Edited to add.... The last batch butchered dressed about 4 1/2 lb to just a lil over 5 lb some of them!
