    How many feeders and waterers

The mason jar rounds are usually good for 12 chicks, give or take. Wouldn't hurt to have two for water in there, imo. I don't use them so can't say how fast they might go through water in them though. Ginwae

    Hello peeps!

Quote: Yep, those natural shells can be much more striking than the human-painted ones. I've also seen some hermits in pet stores chipping away at the paint. I wonder if it could be toxic for them too, like if they were to eat it or it were to chip off in the water or something. I worry too...

Lest see your best stink eye!!!!

Some of the pics on this thread are just hilarious! These little chicks belong to a friend in Missouri, but that TNN on the left seems to have a bit of an attitude: Mr. Magoo (RIP) guarding his harem: Junior stink-eye training camp: My spoiled little back-pocket girl, Curly Sue...

So it's cold out and my pigeon's bathing in his water dish ?

I wouldn't worry if he goes to sit while still wet. The drop in temperature will not be enough to kill the babies, and he will quickly warm up again. He might even fluff his unders before sitting again anyhow, and will be dry/warm enough that there is no worry. I'm in northern Wyoming, and my...

I'm also going to say incubate it yourself. I'd go insane checking the brood hen every 5 minutes if I were in your situation! If the baby does hatch.. be sure to name him/her Legacy. Keeping my fingers crossed tight!! Ginwae

Maybe some can help me figure this out..

I don't know if it's true for Belt, but some hatcheries have deals with feed stores around this time of year (easter) to take in surplus hatches of certain breeds as ignorant folks with their little children love to go in and buy one or two cute little easter chicks, only to toss them out the...

    Dang the luck...

I'm the opposite... I happen to love getting roos. Especially in the longcrower and longtail breeds. I need to paint the inside of my incubators blue for those guys. lol! Ginwae

    Hello From Scottsdale!

I'll toss my Welcome's in as well! What type of gardening do you do in Arizona?? Always pictured that as a dry barren place. Cactus? Actually, I tried growing cactus and ended up killing it by dehydration -- who knew that was even possible?!? I love gardening myself... well, kinda. I enjoy...
