Hi Freya, I would love to help, but this is my first time hatching under a broody hen too. I am getting worried about my hen. She has barely moved since we set her on the eggs, and they arent due to hatch til the 19th. Could she die sitting on the eggs?

Ok, this is all very confusing, but I think im starting to get it. I have pea comb EE hen and a Welsummer roo. If i hatch their eggs, what will I get? Also, if i cover my Buff Orpington hen with my Welsummer roo, will the offspring lay darker brown eggs? Also, does egg shape effect hatching...

Thanks for the reply. I got some vitamin/electrolytes for their water, and some medicated starter feed. I keep hearing a lot about the Apple Cider Vinegar from others. How much do I put in their water, how often, and should I use that instead of the vitamins/electrolytes?
