    "8" Month Old hen still not laying - Why oh why?

    Now just waiting for mine to lay there first egg I put a couple new hens in the flock. They are all 8 months old. Will that cause my other hens not to start laying yet?

    I would LOVE to see some pictures! I have 18 in my incubator and so far 7 have hatched and 4 are pipping! One chick only took 30 min to completely hatch! It was crazy! Plus I had three chicks in one hour!

    I am glad I joined! Thank you all for the warming welcomes! BTW I hatched 3 chicks last night and 1 is zipping right now and I also have one pipping. and for being my first time this is exiting! ( I am using an incubator)

    I will post a picture son! But I have 2 black chicks, 1 gray chick,1 zipping chick and 1 pipping chick! They kept me up ALL night! rolling around others eggs. And hatching and the whole nine yards! I guess I couldnt sleep cause it was to cool to watch them hatch!

    My other chicks are fine. I have 6. but now that there is 5 they seem to leave one out. but the one they leave out (Melony) was Ace's ( the one that died) buddy. so I hope that my incuabting chicks will hatch today or tomorrow. cause Melony seem sad and lonely.
