Hey there. I am in Central Oregon and have been under heavy smoke for ages, months now... My birds are laying less but, otherwise they seem to be in fine health. There's really nothing more I can do. The air quality in your garage is not going to be much better than outside.
If she was still broody she'd be in the nesting boxes and sitting. I am sure it will take some time before she's laying again. How long has she been "broken" of broodiness?

I really love the birds that are "blue" and "lavender". I guess I'm particularly fond of shades of grey.
I bet that would be funny! They are stupid, but hilarious to watch. They mostly hang out under the coop. But when I come out to hang with the chickens, they come to me and tell me the day's gossip. Haha.
