    Sexing Barred Rocks

I got him on February 21st. When does the crowing start? He'll be going to a friend's farm at that point (which will be sad after raising him...)

    Silkie thread!

If my Silkie (2 mos old) has 1/2" long wattles (but hardly any comb), does that mean it's for sure a rooster? Or is it possible it could be a hen? Thanks!

    Buff Silkie Thread!

If my Silkie (little over 2 mos) has 1/2 long wattles, does that mean it's for sure a rooster? Or is it possible it's a hen? I could take a picture as well...

    Silver Laced Wyandotte sexing

Any help sexing my two SLWs? I realize it's not a great shot of them, but not sure if you can tell just by their feathers and coloring.

Do any of my chickies look like roosters? I know it's not the most descriptive picture!

    The Wyandotte Thread

Hey, y'all. Two questions! Do my silver laced wyandottes look ok? They don't seem to be lacing up the way I was hoping. Do any of these chickies look like roosters? I know it's hard to see most of them!

    The Wyandotte Thread

Does anyone know how long it takes SLW to develop the pretty lacing that I was hoping for? Mine are largely black with splotchy whiteness at 2 mos. Just wondering. Thanks!

Couldn't have built this (or even known how) without this website. SO PUMPED for my coop. Since this pic I've framed in the roof, covered the floor in hardware cloth, and covered with 5/8 minus and then coarse river sand. Chicks spent their first night in the coop last night!
