How long after ivermectin could corid be administered?

Also, I can absolutely separate the older girls feed from the younger ones as they are actually not in the same outdoor area together. We had been planning on integrating them together eventually, but have not gotten to it yet so they are still apart.

How long after ivermectin could corid be administered?

Generally, we feed treats about twice a week to them. I have considered going back to a layer feed about two weeks ago. We had been using all flock with calcium on the side because we had two hens that we thought were long done laying and I was told that the calcium in it can be bad for them if...

How long after ivermectin could corid be administered?

I have been giving them nutrena all flock and I provide loose oyster shell supplement on the side for the calcium. Plus occasional treats and black oil sunflower seeds. She doesn’t seem to be having crop emptying issues either.

How long after ivermectin could corid be administered?

Thank you for the reply. Egg shells have seemed fine, I believe she laid one yesterday. She had been back with the others and unfortunately there is another hen that lays the same eggs she does so I can’t be 100% sure it was her. I only pulled her from the flock last evening when I noted the...

How long after ivermectin could corid be administered?

I have a hen that has been having some issues that I can’t work out. A few days ago, I had wormed under the advice of other keepers just to be safe. All that was available near me was pour on ivermectin so I used that and her poop seems to look alright but she’s still holding her tail down and...

Please help, Back again with the same hen

As a further update, I removed food for the morning and her crop has softened back up and she has been pooping so I don’t have reason to suspect impaction I suppose. I haven’t seen her do any more of the panting either. She is still holding her tail down and has a pale comb, she is not holding...

Please help, Back again with the same hen

It’s still early but I noticed this morning she has a few times held her mouth open like panting. She doesn’t seem to be doing it now so I’m not sure what that was. I got a picture of the overnight poops as well as one of the times I happened to catch her doing that panting. I checked and this...

Please help, Back again with the same hen

Also she still seems to be preening and I felt to see if she was egg bound and didn’t feel anything there (I’ve never checked for this so I’m unsure here).

Please help, Back again with the same hen

Here is the link to my first thread on the 19th if you’d like to see all that was discussed previously: https://www.backyardchickens.com/threads/ambiguous-condition-vent-gleet-worms-possibly-a-combination.1468889/#post-24471039 As far as updates, I have given wormer this week and have also...

How many chickens can you have?

Where I live right now, I am limited to 12 (I have 9). It was originally 6, but a young boy in the area petitioned the town to increase the number to 12 and it worked!

Hey Grandpa, What's for Supper? Part 2

Tonight we are having crock pot chili made with half beef and half chorizo sausage and I will throw together some drop biscuits to have as a side. I'd rather have cornbread, but I am the only one in the household who enjoys it, so I don't opt to make it for just myself.

Ambiguous condition, vent gleet? worms? possibly a combination?

I think to be safe, I will go ahead and worm the lot of them. I will make sure daily to keep her cleaned up so it doesn't cause problems. I am hoping the feather trim might help a little too. I appreciate the education on healthy weight. Taking this into account, I am not sure if the bone is...

Ambiguous condition, vent gleet? worms? possibly a combination?

Thank you so much for that detailed response! I actually don't have pre-cleaning pictures of her, I never even thought to do that beforehand, I wish I had. I do have a photo of the poop though: She is a year old and has been acting normal. I have been trying to sneak on her to watch her...

Ambiguous condition, vent gleet? worms? possibly a combination?

One of my hens has had something going on, but I'm not sure what. I noticed one day that she had some butt cement going on, so my first thought was vent gleet. She has been acting well enough and bright, eating and drinking. I brought her in, cleaned her up, and started offering some yogurt...
