Tips on getting flock to accept a rooster?

Update! Today, the older one hasn't showed aggression towards the little one which is super surprising. I'm crossing my fingers I don't have to rehome one but if aggression comes up again I will have to. Thanks for the advice guys

Tips on getting flock to accept a rooster?

So i'm guessing the best plan is to give one away? It's highly unlikely the older rooster to accept the younger one correct?

Possum attack at night, how do you keep them away?

The possum has found them before when we used to free range all day. Ever since, we've locked them up at night and the possum hasn't managed to get in since. It got in before we locked them up so just lock them up earlier then?

Tips on getting flock to accept a rooster?

My first batch of eggs in the incubator had two chicks hatch but one died soon after. I raised the chick on its own and spent all my time with it as it didn't have another chicken. It cuddled with stuffed animals and was super friendly. After a few months being the center of attention and...

Possum attack at night, how do you keep them away?

Thanks for the advice Hot wire around the coop right? I'll look into it However, we do free range our chickens from morning to around 7 pm at night. What would be effective then? The chickens can get electrocuted from the hot wire as well correct? Should we stop free ranging our chickens altogether?

Possum attack at night, how do you keep them away?

It started about a month ago. We free range our chickens and put them at around 6 or 7 pm. In the harsh cold nights, they preferred to stay near the backyard door (its like a porch) together on top of boxes we had so we let them for a few days. Then we heard one of them shout so I ran outside...

Is it possible to raise one baby chick?

I raised one chick alone. It's possible but it's a lot of work as it needs a lot of your attention. She would peep a lot when we weren't with her. She was the only chick that hatched after incubation out of about 12?

Rooster's comb is torn, bleeding, and turning black

Yesterday, I noticed my rooster's crow was bleeding. He mustve caught it on something and tugged hard because half of it is hanging off and bleeding. We bandaged the torn part and today we took it off. The part hanging off is turning black and isn't connected to his head anymore, just connected...

Broken back toenail, possibly getting infected

I have a rooster and just yesterday we found that one of his back toes was bloody and assumed he somehow broke it. We cleaned off a bit of the blood and the bleeding seemed to stop. We put neo on the toe but my mistake was not wrapping it up assuming since his back toe wouldn't get dirty and...

    Chicken covered in poop

So it's just natural right? It seems odd that her head is covered and she's extremely dirty.Just the other day she was fine and clean. I tried to hold her but she was so scared for some reason.
