    Thanks for the feedback, I agree he does seem depressed since his favorite hen passed. I have googled rooster booster and it seems to be just a mix of probiotics and vitamins, you think this would help with his depression/stress?

    I was told by someone if your not sure you can tell by how long his claw is on the back of each foot, and his are pretty long. Not sure how true that is. I will check his feet next time he is on his perch definitely.

    Still seems grumpy, still pecks other hens around food only (never did this before) and has completely stopped cuckoo'ing. Also slept in the straw boxes that the hens lay in a few times, never did that before either 😂

    Thanks for your reply. He has fought off a fox before few years ago, but had no interaction with the fox from this most recent attack. Just worried about why he is acting so lethargic/ sheepish, and why his face has gone white.

    Thanks for your replies, so is it normal for him to moult in patches on his neck? the Hen is around 4 years old and the Cock around 6, not sure about exact age because they were my dads and he passed away last year. And yes it is getting very cold here in england at the moment.
