why would using what ya have is being tacky????? some people cannot afford very nice chicken coops, they use what they have,as long as the chickens are being looked after and well taken care of roof over their head just saying

my parents and grandparents never gave chickens shells either,lots of fresh veggies though alwayhad garden always had good eggs

I have not given my chickens or chicks any shells,they are laying fine,eggs are good and healthy,andsome of the best tasting eggs around,i give my chickens love bread lots of veggies,tomatoes,squash,cucumbers,eggplants,taters,ect.ect.ect.but noe shells
