2 Khaki Campbell Drakes: Northern Michigan

I have two 20 week old Khaki Campbell Drakes that need a new home. I do love them, but my hope was for girls (for eggs of course) and our rooster is not nice to them. They are nice big boys that are very friendly and free range during the day. They are fantastic foragers! Located near the...

    Winterizing my Michigan coop

I am in Northern Michigan and wondered the same. I have 4 Hens, 1 Rooster and 2 Khaki campbell ducks (not sure if they will stay) in a Red Barn II coop (holds 5-7). It is new and I am unimpressed with the quality material of the coop. I feel it will need quite a bit of winterizing. Any help...

    Duck breeds and genders.

I was wondering the same thing. I have two Khakis. They both are the same dark brown, except this one has a white mark on the neck. Can' t tell if they are drakes or not and why do the wings splay out like that? Do they still need time to fill out?

    Rooster? Hens?

Thank you so much. He is not a meat bird, the two yellows are Amberlinks. And they are both in their ugly duckling phase. Half fluff and half feathers! :)

    Rooster? Hens?

I am a newbie to chickens and wanted to confirm my suspicions. I think I have one rooster? The rest I think are hens. What do you all think? They are all 5-6 weeks old. Rooster? Hens? Rhode Island Red, Black Australorp & I forget the yellow one, sorry. Thanks for helping me out. :)

    Khaki duckling biting chicks

    Khaki duckling biting chicks

I have a 1 Khaki Campbell about a week old that is housing with 6 chicks. All the same age. The past day or so he/she has been biting the chicks wings, butts and feet. They squeak and run away. I have tried removing her from the environment, but she goes nuts and tries to jump out of the pen...
