Happy Mother’s Day to all the chicken mama’s. I’m a new mama to 2 lavender orps and 3 gold laced Orps. I suspect three are roo’s which is what brought me to BYC. When I’m not playing with the chickens, I’m taken care of two kiddos and a Kangal Shepard named Koda.

Was it a pullet? I have two at 5 weeks old and neither have a yellow comb but each have obvious feather differences. I suspect the one with a tail is a pullet and yours has early tail feathers.
