We live on almost 2 acres up in Port Angeles, WA, have 3 small dogs and 7 hens. My hubby built a 7' x 4' coop and a 28' x 12' all enclosed run for our girls. We would have had 8 hens, but before the new coop/run was finished, our Ameraucana got out of the temporary run and some neighbor dogs killed her. We are planning on getting 4 more Ameraucana chicks soon. We are having a blast with our girls, always learning something new and laughing at their antics! Our dogs watch the them from behind the backyard fence. They are super curious, but the dogs are never let loose when the hens are free ranging.
